The Outcome
Permission was granted for 5 industrial/warehouse units at the front of a redeveloped industrial estate in a Strategic Industrial Location in London. The units were ideally located in a prominent location facing a busy main road.
Drawing upon appeal decisions we successfully made the case that the trade counter units were not retail. We avoided restrictions on hours of operation and servicing to make the units as attractive as possible to potential occupiers. We also included space on the main facade for signage so that future occupiers could submit their own applications for signage with confidence that they would be acceptable.
