The Outcome
Work had started but had stopped and the contractor had abandoned the site. SP&D were appointed alongside a new design team to resolve the situation.
The first step was to submit a new prior approval application to change the number of units within the former office to reflect the revised layout, totalling 80 units. Accompanying this was a non-material amendment application to amend the planning permission for the roof extension and nine storey rear extension, which contained 90 units. A number of conditions needed to be re-discharged to align with the revised scheme. SP&D also advised on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) for the development. This prepared the site for sale and enabled the new owners completed the development.
